DSPORT & NODWIN Gaming Join Forces To Bring Esports On Indian TV

With competitive gaming arriving on Indian television sets, the event marks a watershed moment for Indian esports.

Wednesday, 19 July 2017 will go down in history books as the day esports made its first and official appearance on Indian television. DSPORT has recently partnered with NODWIN Gaming and together they will broadcast the progress of the ESL India Premiership 2017 across television sets in India. For a start, the channel will air the matches of Counter-Strike: Global Offensive on a daily basis. Every day, 90 minutes of premium CS:GO action, sourced from the ESL India Premiership 2017 – Master League will be telecasted. This trend will continue until the month of December. The channel will also cover the offline LAN Season finales when they occur in the cities of Hyderabad and Delhi. This will help make esports events more accessible to the fans spread across the country! There are also talks to include other competitive games as well.DSPORT is a premium sports channel and focuses on youth centric content. The channel is a part of the Discovery Communications umbrella. As part of bolstering its youth agenda, the channel will broadcast esports apart from football, motorsport, pro-wrestling and much more. With the esports scene on the rise in the country, the decision to showcase competitive gaming matches on Indian television is a move that will be welcomed by every Indian esports enthusiast.
